Canton Police Department is proactive in the area of training.  Officers are required to participate in a variety of training throughout the year.

The depatment often hosts specialty training for outside agencies to participate in.  Outside agencies attending training are assessed a fee to cover the cost of instructor/materials, etc.

The department does not currently offer any training for non-police officers (civilians).
