Director John Santomauro leads the Department of Public Safety. He's been with the department over 20 years and has more than 35 years of law enforcement experience. 

The command staff comprised of a fire chief, two deputy police chiefs, a fire marshal, 3 fire captains, 9 fire and 5 police lieutenants, and 10 police sergeants takes part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization.
