What is Cantons false alarm policy?

Canton tracks false alarm calls for service at residences and businesses in order to ensure enforcement, reduce false alarms and assist business owners and residents in correcting problems with an alarm system. When every attempt has been made to correct an alarm system, or the owner fails to correct it, and false alarms are continuing at a location, a citation is issued.

What are the responsibilities of the motor carrier department?

The department's motor carrier officer enforces state trucking laws as well as local ordinances. The officer is also responsible for citing overweight vehicles and educating commercial vehicle operators about potential hazards.

What court serves Canton? Where is it located?

Canton is served by 35th District Court located at 660 Plymouth Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170 734-459-4740. The court handles all civil infractions, misdemeanors, small claims, landlord matters, general civil matters within the member communities. The five Communities make up an area of over 73 square miles and have a combined population in excess of 150,000.

What is the Western Wayne Narcotics unit?

Under the direction of the Conference of Western Wayne(CWW), a multi-jurisdictional task force serving 18 communities within Western Wayne County, the Western Wayne Narcotics unit combines traditional narcotics enforcement tactics with interdiction methods to address in-transit traffickers at local airports, hotels/motels, vehicle rental companies, common carriers, and package/storage facilities.
