What is special enforcement?
The primary purpose of the Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) is to reduce traffic accidents and crime through high visibility and directed patrols. The unit works reactively by responding to complaints from Canton residents and businesses. The unit saturates an area and takes swift enforcement action on all violations.
SEU officers also conduct monthly alcohol and tobacco decoy operations to ensure that local businesses check for proof of legal age when selling alcohol and tobacco products.
