Temporary Traffic Order Issued
 
May 28, 2013, Canton, MI - Canton Public Safety Director Todd L. Mutchler has issued a temporary
traffic order in conjunction with Canton’s Liberty Fest, June 14-15, 2013.
 
Due to expected heavy traffic for Liberty Fest and the accompanying fireworks display in Heritage Park,
the Director of Public Safety, in accordance with the Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships and
Villages, R28.1127, Rule 27, orders the following:

 

Effective Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11 a.m., parking will be prohibited along Canton Center Road
between Cherry Hill and Palmer.

Effective Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 10:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., Canton Center Road between
Cherry Hill and Palmer will be closed.

Effective Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 8 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., Summit Parkway will be closed
from Canton Center to Glengarry Roads.

In addition, effective Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 8 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., the following roads will be
closed to thru traffic for the Liberty Fest Run:

- Southbound Canton Center at Palmer Road
- Northbound Canton Center at Rouge River bridge
- East and westbound Summit Parkway
- Southbound Sheldon at James Court
- Northbound Sheldon south of Rouge River bridge

This order remains in effect until Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 11:30 p.m.
