November 18, 2008, Canton, MI The Canton Fire Department promoted two firefighters this month to fill vacancies created by retirement. 

Battalion Chief Robert Glenn, age 42, is a 21-year veteran of the department.  Glenn has a Bachelors Degree from Madonna University, and recently graduated from Eastern Michigan Universitys Fire Staff and Command School. 
 
Captain Greg Kowalski, age 43, is a 20-year veteran of the department.  Kowalski earned his paramedic license in 1998, and is a certified fire investigator through the State of Michigan.
