Police Department announces sergeant promotion
January 15, 2007, Canton, MI – Following an intensive testing process, Canton Police Department announces the promotion of police officer James Harrison to the rank of Sergeant.
Harrison earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Ferris State University in May of 1991, and shortly after was hired by the department as a police officer. Since then Harrison has worked on a variety of special units within the department including range officer, field training officer and most notably, as a member of the Western Wayne Special Operations Team for the past 13 years.
Sergeant James Harrison has been married to his wife Beckie for 9 years. They have a five-year old daughter and a four-month old son.
