May 23, 2008, Canton, MI The Director of Public Safety, John Santomauro, has issued a temporary traffic regulation during the Canton Cup Soccer Tournament this weekend.

Due to safety concerns for pedestrians and motorists, the speed limit on Denton Road shall be 25 mph from 1,000 feet north of Proctor Road to 1,000 feet south of the southern boundary of Independence Park.  This order will be in effect for the following times:

    May 23, 2008, from 4 p.m. 9 p.m.
    May 24, 2008, from 7 a.m. 9 p.m.
    May 25, 2008, from 7 a.m. 2 p.m.

In addition, parking will be prohibited on the east side of Denton Road from Times to Lansdowne. 

Advisory signs will be posted instructing drivers of the temporary changes.  This order is issued in accordance with the Uniform Traffic Code for cities, townships and villages, R28.1127, Rule 127.
