June 8, 2009, Canton, MI - Canton Public Safety Director John Santomauro has issued a temporary traffic order in conjunction with Canton’s Liberty Fest the weekend of June 19-20, 2009.

Due to expected heavy traffic for Liberty Fest and the accompanying fireworks display in Heritage Park, the Director of Public Safety, in accordance with the Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships and Villages, R28.1127 Rule 27 orders:

EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2009 AT 11:00 A.M., PARKING WILL BE PROHIBITED ALONG CANTON CENTER ROAD BETWEEN CHERRY HILL AND PALMER ROAD.

EFFECTIVE SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2009 FROM 10:30 P.M. – 11:30 P.M., CANTON CENTER ROAD WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN CHERRY HILL AND PALMER ROAD.

EFFECTIVE SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2009 FROM 8:00 P.M. – 11:30 P.M., SUMMIT PARKWAY WILL BE CLOSED FROM CANTON CENTER TO GLENGARRY BLVD.

This order remains in effect until Saturday, June 20, 209 at 11:30 p.m.
