The Canton Police Department recently hired Jeremy Quinn as the first in a series of new hires to fill several openings created by retiring police officers.

Quinn, a 28-year old Ortonville resident completed his Associates Degree at Oakland Community College and attended the Oakland Police Academy. Quinn previously worked as a deputy at the Oakland County Sheriff's Office for three and a half years before coming to Canton.

Candidates for the Canton Police Department go through a vigorous testing process that includes both written and physical agility tests, oral board, medical and psychological examinations and an extensive background check.
