November 26, 2007, Canton, MI - On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2007, at approximately 2:00 p.m., a Canton Fire Department ambulance was involved in a collision on Michigan Avenue west of Hannan Road.  The ambulance was struck from behind by a vehicle that then fled the scene.  The driver of that vehicle was later apprehended in the City of Wayne.  Both firefighter’s in the ambulance were treated for minor injuries and returned to work that same day. The accident is being investigated by Michigan State Police.
