December 11, Canton, MI – After receiving tips from the public, Canton police officers were able to identify and arrest two of three individuals suspected of breaking into Canton Calvary Church on December 5, 2007.

Three suspects were caught on video surveillance cameras wandering the halls of the church at approximately 3:19 a.m.  The suspects set off the alarm, alerting a maintenance worker.  A copy of the security surveillance video has been posted on the police department’s website at www.cantonpublicsafety.org.

Police are still trying to identify a third suspect seen on the video.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Canton Police Department at 734/394-5400, or file a tip through Crime Stoppers, also available on the department’s website.

The suspects arrested are expected to be arraigned on charges this afternoon or tomorrow morning in 35th District Court.  Information on their identity will be released following the arraignment.
