Canton Police Department hires new officers

The Canton Police Department has recently hired four new officers, as they continue to fill several vacancies created by retirement.
Kristy Branson, 27, earned her Associate’s Degree from Oakland Community College in 2005. She worked as a Wayne County Airport Police Officer shortly before joining Canton.
Darren Kossick, 25, earned his Associate’s Degree from Schoolcraft Community College in 2004, and received his MCOLES certification from the Wayne County Regional Police Academy in 2004.
Michael Murphy, 34, earned two Associate’s Degrees from Henry Ford Community College. Prior to being hired in Canton, he worked as a U.S. Customs Agent.
Adam Shulman, 23, earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in 2005, and received his MCOLES certification from the Macomb Police Academy in 2005.
