Canton Public Safety announces it’s new website, www.cantonpublicsafety.org.

Along with the new web address comes a new, easy-to-use format designed to provide visitors with access to a variety of resources. The website includes information on the police, fire and emergency managment divisons.

Some new items of interest include:

• Crime Alerts –Providing timely information about local crime or crime trends occurring in the community

• Crime Mapping –Providing selected crimes on a geographical map of Canton

• Statistics by Geographical Area –Providing crime and accident statistics by geographical areas

• Videos –Providing videos of local public service announcements and Police and Fire shows aired on Canton’s Community Access Television

The department has also expanded and organized a new safety tip section including a various brochures, handouts and presentations, as well as links to many related resource websites.

Visitors to the site will also enjoy many familiar items from the previous website, including public safety press releases and the police and fire monthly reports, just to name a few.

The department’s website will be updated frequently so visitors are encouraged to check back often to find out what’s new in their neighborhood.
