The SEU utilizes a "zero tolerance" enforcement strategy when dealing with violations of tobacco and alcohol sales to minors. Establishments selling alcohol to a minor receive a misdemeanor citation. Alcohol violations are also reported to the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
