November 13, 2007, Canton, MI – After an intensive testing process, Canton Police Department has announced the promotion of police officer Patrick Sullivan to the rank of Sergeant.

Sergeant Sullivan was hired by the department in 1991 as a police officer. Sullivan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Business Administration, both from Madonna University. This year he earned a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Leadership, also from Madonna University.

Over the past 16 years, Sullivan has worked on a variety of special units including as a certified accident reconstructionist on the department’s accident investigation team. He has also worked as a certified firearms instructor, evidence technician, narcotics detective and field training officer.

Sergeant Patrick Sullivan has been married to his wife Kristen for over 16 years. They have two boys ages 12 & 11, and two girls ages 4 & 2.
