January 10, 2008, Canton, MI – Canton Police Department has partnered with TRACView Report Delivery Solutions to provide individuals and insurance companies with a convenient new way to purchase copies of accident reports.  Beginning Monday, January 14, reports from accidents occurring on public roads and private property in Canton can be purchased for $9 each on the Records Bureau page of Canton Public Safety's new website.

Benefits of the new system include the convenience of purchasing reports from any computer, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Customers of TRACView will also enjoy the convenience of paying with a credit card, as well as a toll free customer support line.

Officers will provide information to motorists at accident scenes on how to access the purchasing system.  Crime reports are not available from TRACView.

Copies of accident reports may still be purchased in person at the Police Department’s Records Bureau Monday – Friday, from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  The cost is $4 and must be paid by cash or check only.  Credit cards are not accepted.
