Simple Recycling
HOw to use simple recycling:
Instead of curbside collection on your regular trash day, Simple Recycling is now requiring residents to schedule a pick up.
Step 1: Residents can schedule pickups online at www.simplerecycling.com or you can call customer service at 866-835-5068.
Step 2: Place your items outside your front door by 7:30 am on your scheduled pickup day. Make sure all items are bagged and tagged for Simple Recycling. Please note, Simple Recycling is no longer providing bag. You can use your own bags or boxes, just make sure they you label them "For Simple Recycling."
Step 3: A Simple Recycling truck will collect the bags and recycle the items for reuse.
Please note, only items placed inside the bags or tagged with Simple Recycling labels will be collected. Simple Recycling will not pick up anything left outside of the bag or untagged.
The following is a list of gently used items Simple Recycling accepts:
- Men, women and children’s clothing
- Coats and Jackets
- Jewelry
- Shoes
- Purses
- Hats
- Toys
- Pictures
- Mirrors
- Blankets
- Drapes/Curtains
- Pillows
- Sleeping Bags
- Small Furniture
- Small Appliances, such as toasters, microwaves and coffee makers
- Irons
- Radios
- Lamps
- Hairdryers
- Tools
- Silverware
- Dishes
- Pots/Pans
- Glasses
- Backpacks
- Christmas lights (as long as they are in good working order)
All of the materials collected are graded and sorted locally based on quality and condition. The top quality materials will be resold to local thrift outlets, mid-grade is exported to international markets and "unusable" items are processed for raw materials.
