Suspect charged with multiple B&E's to local businesses

August 20, 2020, Canton, MI – On Saturday, David Edward Miller, 58 years old from Westland, was arraigned on charges following multiple break-ins to local businesses in Canton.  

Miller’s charges include four counts of Breaking & Entering a Building with Intent, each a 10-year felony; and four counts of Habitual Fourth Offender, and sentence enhancement charge, punishable by up to life imprisonment.

Miller’s weekend arraignment was held in Out-County Court, with Magistrate Millicent Sherman setting bond for each of the B&E charges at $3,000 /10%.  Miller’s preliminary exam is scheduled for September 4, 2020, in 35th District Court, 660 Plymouth Road, Plymouth, Michigan.

The Canton break-ins occurred on August 6 & 7, at two Biggby locations, a Subway store, and a tanning salon.
